Overview and explanation
Program “O” allows the User to input design information data for a Box Ditch and returns values for “V” and “Q”.

WARNING: Do not remove the batteries for more than two minutes or use the “CLEAR” “ALL” function or the programs in the calculator will be destroyed. Please read the first two pages of the manual that comes with the pre-programmed calculator before attempting to operate it.
The LSS Hydrology Pack Software for the HP 35s Calculator :The LSS Hydrology Pack Software for the HP 35s Calculator Program “O” assumes that the following values are given:
“S” - the slope of the ditch
“W” – the width of the ditch
“D” – the depth of the ditch
“N” - Manning’s Roughness Coefficient
The LSS Hydrology Pack Software for the HP 35s Calculator :The LSS Hydrology Pack Software for the HP 35s Calculator To run this program execute the following steps:
Press the “XEQ” button
Press the alpha key “O”
Press the “ENTER” key
The program will begin asking for the variables discussed on the previous page
After all variables are entered the following values are displayed:
“Q”, the discharge flow rate volume expressed in cubic feet per second the diameter of the pipe in inches is displayed
“V”, the velocity of the flow in feet per second
To move through the queries and displays press “R/S” to move to the next item
