(P) Traversing

The LSS Miracle Software for the HP 35s Calculator : 

The LSS Miracle Software for the HP 35s Calculator TRAVERSING Program (P) ___________________________________________________ Overview and explanation Program “P” is a multi-purpose program that performs traverses, inverses and intersections. Before first-time use of Program “P”, Program “I” must be executed. Do not execute Program “I” again unless coordinate values from coordinate number 1 through 98 are desired to be reset to “0”. At any time Users may also turn on or off the “DONE” message and display of coordinate numbers and values by running Program “Q”. Traversing with Program “P” requires that a known coordinate be used as the first coordinate number requested. Users are then prompted for bearings/azimuth and distances from which a new coordinate value is recorded for the coordinate number provided by the User. Program “P” then allows the User to continue from the new coordinate. ___________________________________________________ WARNING: Do not remove the batteries for more than two minutes or use the “CLEAR” “ALL” function or the programs in the calculator will be destroyed. Please read the first two pages of the manual that comes with the pre-programmed calculator before attempting to operate it.

Next, run Program “S” to store a coordinate value for Coordinate #1 from the previous example data. Next, to test the Traversing capability of Program “P” traverse from Point #1 to Point #2 and then from Point #2 to Point #3.

Next, the Azimuth/Azimuth intersection capability can be tested by using the known first and second azimuths and computing the first and second distances.
