Request an appropriate amount of dollars Know your organization’s history with the funder. Use your people connections Find a good editor. Have the proper person in your organization sign off on the proposal Keep control of the proposal One direct contact with the funder Get used to rejection


ABCs Continued :ABCs Continued Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Keep your presentation professional - but modest. Get it to the funder on time. Address the cover letter and label to a person. Make the follow-up call. If you get the YES! OH, HAPPY DAY If you get a “no,” Bummer Read the Contract carefully. Get ready to report. Report completely and on time WXYZ. Patience & Persistence!!!

Determine activities you could delegate and make a list (titles) of the persons you might ask to complete these tasks. Develop a mission statement. Prepare your responses get it back to us on line.
