Sign LanguageClasses:
Sign Language Classes Beginner: Basic introduction to sign language. ABC’s and family signs. This focuses on getting an individual acquainted with hand shapes and gestures commonly used among Deaf people.
Intermediate: Continuation of Beginner – Time and placement use of appropriate signs and gestures. Focus on expressions and sentence structure.
Advanced: Conversational activities utilizing skills learned in Beginner and Intermediate levels. Deaf History and Deaf Culture is introduced. Field trips consisting of ' Silent Dinners' where full conversation is used. Introduction of further educational opportunities and how you can work with the Deaf.
