People need to be informed that men and women are both equal, they can do anything as long as they set their minds to it. There are plenty of examples of men being housewives, and being the stay home parent and doing a great job. On the other hand many thousands of women are now the main provider for the family and they work just as hard as men. We should start by teaching from a young age that you can do anything as long as your work hard, young kids should not let there dreams of being a astronaut be put down because she is a girl. A little boy shouldn’t be worried if he loves to cook. The problem will never go away completely but it sure can get a whole lot better. PowerPoint Presentation: STATEMENT O F IMPORTANCE Sexism is a very important topic because it is everywhere, and mostly women but some men are being discriminated because of there sex. It has gotten to the point where there are pages and pages of jokes about women being in the kitchen. It isn't only women though, men are apart of this too but mostly they are stereotyped with better things that women. In the olden days maybe it was that women cleaned and cooked and men worked in the force, but things have changed women compose 51% of the workforce in the USA today.
