Registration TIP: If you have no plans to create a full professional profile and upload your resume, don’t register. Non-registered users can use limited site features, including searching for jobs manually. Small business owners can also register to create a small announcement about their businesses. User Name: Create a user name Email Address: This must be a verifiable email address. Who are you: Check which box most closely represents you. Example, check small or medium business if you are representing your own business.

Slide 5:

Allow search engines to index my profile TIP: It’s your choice whether or not you want your LGBTCareerLink profile to appear on the Internet along with your other professional profile listings. While we take precautions to block your profile from being indexed on the net, there are a few circumstances beyond our control where your profile could get indexed despite placing a no response in this box. It is a good idea with any professional profile content to use only a professional appearing email address on your resume or other content. This is common practice due to privacy concerns. A professional email would be yourname@gmail.com for examle. Never use a nick name or similar in an email you will allow an employer to see.

Slide 6:

Example of what your indexed profiles might look like in Google search results for your name.

Slide 7:

Featured Candidate: Submit your profile for consideration to be on the home page. Leave blank if you do not want to appear on the home page. Complete and well-done profiles will be considered. Word Verification: Helps block out spam Group Email: Check if you want to opt out of receiving Out & Equal and LGBTCareerlink announcements. Create new account: Click this button to compete registration. Click on terms and conditions to read them.
