Keep in touch:

Keep in touch By phone By email Visit It’s important to keep in touch with everyone. If you have questions ask someone. You don’t know unless you ask.

Technology is important:

Technology is important Y outube Google Docs PC Programs Technology is important for us to learn. Especially with those of us with online classes and even with our seated classes too.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #1 EXERCISE Exercise helps relieve stress and helps your brain function better.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #2 SURVIVAL Our brains have evolved over time and became more complex.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #3 WIRING While we have the same basic setup, each brain is different from one another.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #4 ATTENTION Multitasking isn’t helping us as much as we think. We can’t pay a lot of attention on one thing if we are doing more than that. It also takes us much longer to complete things than if we did one at a time.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #5 SHORT-TERM MEMORY We need to repeat things often and practice in order to actually remember it.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #6 LONG-TERM MEMORY If we don’t remember to repeat something then we will forget it. Practice makes perfect.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #7 SLEEP We have to get at least eight hours of sleep for our brains to process the information during the day. It also helps us focus better the next day.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #8 STRESS Stress causes brain cells to die. Severe stress is when our brains do the worst performance.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #9 SENSORY INTEGRATION The brain pays more attention and does better if we use multiple senses during an activity than using only one.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #10 VISION Vision is the strongest sense. It over powers the other senses.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #11 GENDER Female and male brains work differently from one another.

12 Brain rules:

12 Brain rules Rule #12 EXPLORATION We naturally want to explore things starting at birth.

Learning styles:

Learning styles Each person learns a different way. I learn by watching and doing things.

Time management:

Time management We have to plan times to study. We also have to stick to a schedule.

Preparing:

Preparing Making sure we are prepared is important for studying, tests, and classes.

Study skills:

Study skills Taking proper notes will help us study better.

Relax:

Relax Stressing too much over a test isn’t going to help us. It will only hurt us.

Overview:

Overview So far during this class, I have learned that it is important to make time, prepare, study better, and relax more during a test. I enjoyed doing the learning style quiz because I think it will help me to know exactly how I learn best. I also will practice the steps on how to study better in my classes. While we still have a while to go in this class, I have learned a lot and hope to learn a lot more to help me become a better student.
