Slide 1:

Not a very long time from now on a campus close, really close… I mean really really close… San Francisco State University: A Campus Divided Even when gas prices are higher than ever, and other alternatives such as MUNI, BART and, even, bicycles are widely available, driving cars is still rising at an alarming rate. Students across the vast student body are actually hurting our environment. However, there is HOPE. The Planeteers, who consists of 5 awesome SFSU students from PSY 456: Environmental Psychology (Fall 2008), believe that they have the power to turn things at SFSU around. With help of their magical rings and refreshing program, the Planteers vow CHANGE will happen… And are confident they will get an A in doing so…

Slide 3:

Auto Disadvantages Harmful to the environment Total daily mileage traveled in San Francisco increased from 805,000 miles to 829,000 miles from 2000-2007, an increase of 4.7% (Demographia 2008) American cars emit 333 million tons of CO2 each year (more than 1/5th of the nation’s total CO2 emissions) Can potentially become an environmental stressor due to traffic jams, which can lead to some to displace their frustrations on others around them. There’s nothing like arriving to class with a clear mind and ready to learn!
