Global Warming :

Global Warming

Slide 2:

Global Warming: The theory that the world's average temperature is increasing due to the burning of fossil fuels and other forms of energy resulting in higher atmospheric concentrations of gases such as carbon dioxide.

Slide 3:

These gases, commonly referred to as greenhouse gases, prevent heat from escaping the Earth, thus heating it up. This causes the polar ice caps to melt and sea levels to rise. The heat also depletes the soil of nutrients, making it impossible to support vegetation.

Slide 4:

global warming and shall continue to increase Unpredictable weather is also a direct result of Unpredictable weather shall continue to increase unless something is done to prevent this…

Slide 21:

All the pictures that you have just seen have been a direct result of Global Warming…

Slide 22:

The average global temperature has increased 1.5 degrees in the last century, and is predicted to rise at an even higher rate…

Slide 23:

If this increase in temperature is not alleviated then the pictures that you just saw will soon become everyday occurrences.

But… :

But…

Slide 25:

There’s Still Hope

Slide 26:

Efforts are being made around the world to counteract the warming climate

Slide 31:

In recent years global production of alternative energies has increased by nearly ten percent, But that’s not enough…
