Presentation Description

This is a very basic overview of the parts of a paragraph. The purpose is for non native speakers of English to understand the basic parts of writing a paragraph before they write a large paper at the end of the term. Our students are graduate science students, so the section on nanobiology in the middle is geared to their own study.

PowerPoint Presentation:

My life revolves around my students; therefore, I am always extremely busy. Although I like to play video games and exercise, I have to plan for 6 classes, which isn’t an easy task. It’s especially difficult because I prepare for four types of classes: graduate level writing, graduate level speaking, staff conversation, and middle school writing. Some days I have to be in class at 9:00 A.M. and do not finish until 8:00 P.M. In addition, I have to check homework, answer emails, and edit papers assigned by the writing center. By the end of every semester, I am looking forward to vacation every bit as much as my students. Sample paragraph
