Slide 2: Communication Communication : Communication It is a process of transferring information / data / ideas / thoughts from one person to another. WHY communication? : WHY communication? To develop information & understanding, necessary for group efforts. To foster an attitude which is necessary for motivation, cooperation and job satisfaction. To adopt change at the required speed. To satisfy basic human needs for recognition & sense of belonging. To improve the existing relationship with the superior, peers and subordinates. Slide 5: The tongue is the only instrument that gets sharper with use. Why effective communication : Why effective communication To create understanding in the thinking of the person receiving the communication. To exactly replicate the ideas/ thoughts in the mind of the receiver. In Effective Communication : In Effective Communication The sender sends the idea/ thought/information/data. The receiver accepts the idea/ thought/information/data. The data/information perceived by the receiver is exactly the same as send by the sender.
