Government & Military Jobs

Slide12:

Government & Military Jobs Individuals classified as language specialists for the Federal Government earned an average of $71,625 annually in 2005. The United States is deeply involved in the economics and politics of the world community. All government departments need employees who can use foreign languages, at home and abroad, and who are aware of and sensitive to cultural differences. Whether your job is helping shape US policy on the environment, helping US tourists overseas in a crisis, working on the US economic and environmental policies, fighting against organized international crime, or working on the diplomatic corps, you’ll find your language skills make a big difference. Many government departments have excellent opportunities to learn a language on the job here in the US when they are not on a job overseas. Follow the link www.state.gov/employment/ for the U.S. Department of State.
