Advertising in Graphic Design.: Advertising in Graphic Design. By Josh Clews PowerPoint Presentation: My First Attempt at Advertising/Rebranding. Advert to try and reboot Blockbusters appeal. Done for an initial project at Foundation level. Completed using Adobe Illustrator, my favourite program to use. Tag line of “The Journey cant be that bad”, implying that the image shown would never actually happen if you opted to travel to a Blockbuster store rather than using the internet. PowerPoint Presentation: My Latest attempt at Advertising/Rebranding. In comparison, my latest attempt at advertising ticks the majority if not all of the boxes compared to the first. It was in answer to another rebranding brief, this time of Cadbury’s chocolate. It includes the house colour of purple, the product itself, and the Cadbury’s logo. PowerPoint Presentation: Inspiration and Influence – SO ME Discovered So Me during a university lecture. Was instantly struck by his hand drawn typography style, something I had never really attempted with any real potency. I also liked the way he managed to fill the space provided so neatly, working around obstacles such as photos. PowerPoint Presentation: How has this inspiration tied into my work? I believe it is plain to see how SO ME has influenced some of my work since I discovered him. Whether it be for university, or personal work. PowerPoint Presentation: Raising awareness of Child Abuse. Based upon Ron Mueck’s ultra realistic sculptures. A blue print to create a 10 ft sculpture of a child in a vulnerable position, placed in a shopping mall. PowerPoint Presentation: My other work related to Advertising. An open brief project, to which I decided to look at Reality, after completing lengthy research on the theories of what reality was, I decided to produce these posters/magazine layouts, advertising a new edition of new scientist magazine. PowerPoint Presentation: The person who has inspired me the most – Evan Roth. Although not an advertiser, Evan Roth has been the biggest inspiration for me in the field of graphic design. One of the very first designers I discovered by myself, he gave me a completely different outlook on typography and graphic design as a whole. PowerPoint Presentation: Thank you for listening.
