“Nancy Shevell, the American heiress married to former Beatle Paul McCartney, on Wednesday resigned from the board of New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority where she served since 2001”, Joan Gralla of Reuters writes last Wednesday. “In my 30-year professional career, this has been a highlight for me,” Shevell told the board which oversees the New York area's bridges, tunnels and mass transit systems.

With her reason for resigning still unknown to the public and even to the in depth paparazzi, Shevell plans to dedicate the rest of her life to her husband, the legendary Paul McCartney. And while the Beatles superstar is promoting his newest album, the two plan to “divide their time between New York and London.”
