Premium member Presentation Transcript Slide 1: Mercury The gravity is less than a third of earths… ….so aliens could be much bigger than the animals of Earth. Temperatures are very hot… …how would an alien be protected from the heat? …what would the alien drink if all of the water has evaporated? Humans would be blinded by the intense sun… …how do aliens live there? Slide 2: Venus Thick clouds of sulphur dioxide means it rains sulphuric acid… … how would an alien be protected? The surface is hotter than mercury due to the atmosphere… The surface is covered with volcanoes… Similar gravity to earths… so aliens could be about the same size as Earth creatures. Slide 3: Mars Has a very thin atmosphere… …would the aliens breathe? If they do, what? And how could they take in enough to survive? It is below zero all year round… …how could an alien cope? Slide 4: Jupiter There is huge pressure on Jupiter… … aliens would be small and and have to be well protected to cope. Massive winds and lightning exist in the large dense atmosphere… …an alien would have to be tough to survive. No solid surface, a core of liquid hydrogen… …no land living aliens could be here so where would they live? Slide 5: Saturn Known as a gas giant, there is no solid surface only a ball of gas… …legs wouldn’t be much good here – there is nothing to stand on! A very thick atmosphere… …what would aliens breathe? Very cold all of the time… … how would an alien be able to cope? Slide 6: Uranus Atmosphere of methane and hydrogen above a sea of ammonia and methane… … where would they live? …would they breathe the atmosphere? Very cold … how would they cope? The largest winds of the solar system… …what would the aliens have to do to survive? Slide 7: Neptune Higher gravity than Earth… ….aliens would have to be strong to stand. ….they wouldn’t grow very big! Very cold temperatures… ..how will they cope? Much less light would reach Neptune than Earth… …do the aliens need light at all? Slide 8: Pluto Very low gravity… … aliens could get much larger than on earth… but how would they stop themselves from flying off into space. The temperature is very cold… …how would an alien survive that? No atmosphere… …so an alien wouldn’t breathe gases here. The planet gets so little light … …do the aliens have eyes? …they may not need light at all. You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
