Account Lockout One issue plaguing computer users is known in the Help Desk world as "account lockout."
Occurs when a user repeatedly enters his or her password incorrectly.
Once locked, the user is unable to login.
Even if they enter their password correctly.
WHY?
A security measure to stop someone from entering every possible password imaginable & eventually breaking into the account.

Passwords have a complexity requirement to ensure security across the network.
Don’t make a password too complex. This can lead to difficulty remembering.
Keep the password at a complexity you are comfortable with.
Make your password memorable by making it personal --but not obvious to others. Password Hints :

Much more secure than using the model of the car in the photos around your office.

Use Your Cell Phone
Some cell phones have a password vault application that can store all your passwords in one location.
This application requires a password,
ALTERNATIVE: Keeping passwords on sticky notes & paper slips under your keyboard or in a drawer that does not lock. – NOT SAFE!!
If you do this, you’re saying, “Steal me.”
