What is Physics? Physics is a branch of science that deals with the study of phenomena or happenings in nature.

Describe the role of physics in our daily life. Various discoveries, made by physicists over hundreds of years have made it possible to invent thousands of machines and other devices.

Describe the role of physics in our daily life. These machines and devices have made our lives more comfortable. We remain in touch with the world through radio, television, computers, etc.

What are the fundamental quantities? Name any four fundamental quantities? : 

What are the fundamental quantities? Name any four fundamental quantities? The quantities which do not depend on any other quantity are called fundamental quantities. Example: Length Mass Time Temperature

What are the derived quantities? Give any four examples The quantities which are defined in terms of fundamental quantities are called derived quantities Examples: Area Volume Speed Force

Define multiple and submultiple units. Name two multiple and submultiple units of time. : 

Define multiple and submultiple units. Name two multiple and submultiple units of time. Those units which are used to measure large quantities are called multiple units. Example: Days, Weeks, and Months. Those units which are used to measure small quantities are called submultiple units. Example: Seconds and Minutes.
