Introduction of Ice Hockey by Hockey Helper In the early 1800’s the ice hockey is introduced in Nova Scotia by Micmac Indians. It is a sport played on ice generally in a rink where two teams of skaters play against each other to shoot a rubber puck into the opponent’s net to achieve points by using ice hockey tips. In North America Ice hockey is the official national winter sport of Canada.

Playing with smartness is very important in ice hockey. A player using ice hockey tips for achieving a goal. There is lots of equipment which are used in ice hockey because body checks are permitted so injuries are common in ice hockey. Ice hockey equipment includes a helmet shoulder pads mouth guard skates elbow pads skin pads protective gloves athletic cup heavily padded shorts or a girdle and a neck protector. Different types of equipment are used by goaltenders like goalie skates a chest protector large leg pads a jock or jill catching glove a goalie mask and blocking glove.

The ice hockey is played on the ice with two teams having six players each one goaltender and five shatters. The typical roster size of a hockey team is twenty players two goaltenders twelve forwards and six defensemen. There is a coach whose job is to train their players and improve their hockey skills with ice hockey tips. A period of the game is divided into three sections each section is twenty minutes long with an intermission in between and the clock running only when the puck is in play. Field hockey is played on ordinary grass water-based or sand-based artificial turf with a small and solid ball but Ice hockey is played on an ice-based rink with a small hard and a rubber puck. This game is popular among both males and females in many parts of the world mainly in United States Europe Australia Canada South Africa and New Zealand. The first women’s world championship was held in 1987 in Toronto Canada.
