Introduction:

Introduction Welcome to Velocity Systems' Horizon Customer Network Console, powered by E-Courier software. As a customer to Velocity Systems you will benefit from the many features of the Horizon Customer Network Console, which are outlined in this customer Users Guide. We have provided simple instructions on how to use our password-protected, Internet-based system for fast, easy management of all pickup and delivery jobs performed for Velocity Systems. The system requirements are very easy as well. All that is needed is a computer, a Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater browser and a dedicated Internet connection, such as an internal network, Broadband or DSL connection. For easy access to the system please save the following link under “Favorites” on your Internet Explorer: www.horizonconsole.com If you have any questions or need assistance using the system contact Velocity Systems Customer Support at: Email: support@horizonconsole.com Hours: Monday – Sunday: 7:00 am – 11:00 EST WELCOME TO HORIZON!

Accessing the System:

Accessing the System 1) On your web browser go to: http://www.horizonconsole.com 2. Click on Customer to enter the Customer Console. 2 1

Accessing the System:

Accessing the System Enter the User Name you received from Velocity Systems. Enter the Password you received from Velocity Systems. Once entered, you can access the Customer Console by clicking the GO! button. If you need assistance logging on to the system, or have forgotten or not received your username or password, email Velocity Systems Customer Support at: support@horizonconsole.com 1 2 3

Accessing the System:

Accessing the System You have now successfully entered the Horizon customer Network Console. Once logged into the system the order form will appear. This is the form you will use to place an order. But before placing an order you may want to set up your default settings.

Setting Preferences:

Setting Preferences To set your personal preferences, select Your Account from the top menu list. The “Edit Preferences” will appear as shown. The Shipping Preferences will save default information that will come up when shipping packages. The EZ Ship Preferences allow you to set common shipping locations for your account and to place orders quickly and easily. The Tracking Preferences allow you to set the preferences for tracking packages quickly and easily when logged into the e-courier.com website. The Administration Preferences allow you to add other users to your account and edit account profiles. The menu on the left provides options to edit your personal address book and other options that do not apply at this time.

Entering Courier Orders:

Entering Courier Orders To place an order, log into the http://www.horizonconsole.com/customer website and the Shipping page will load. If you have set default settings they will appear automatically as displayed to the right. Note that when you first are entering the order, a single Quote button shows on the screen. This is because the system requires you to obtain a price and service quote before placing the order. The quote screen, which appears below, will list all of the available services based on the time of day and size of the shipment, the cost for the delivery for each service type, and the expected delivery time for each service. Once you click the Quote button, a screen similar to the below will appear. Once you decide on the service you want, click the Select option to the right of the service type.

Entering Courier Orders:

Entering Courier Orders You will be returned to the order screen as shown to the right. Note the highlighted differences. The Order button is now active, indicating the order can be saved. The service price and delivery time details are now available. To place on an order, click the Order button. The system will check to verify that you have completed all the appropriate fields. If the fields are not completed appropriately, you will receive an error message similar to the following when you try to save the order.

Completing the Order:

Completing the Order Once you click on the Order button, if all of the required information is entered on the order, you will receive a confirmation job number. Note that the system will check when the order is saved to make sure that the “Ready Time” of the order is not in the past. If it is, the Quote Screen will appear again when you enter the order with a message at the top that says: “Ready time is more than 5 minutes earlier than the current time!” This will occur if more than 10 minutes elapses between the time you get the Quote and the time you try to place the order. There are various options available to you once you have saved the order. If you are going to enter multiple shipments, you will want to use the “Ship Another From” options. The three options are: This Location: this brings up a new order form with the pickup address the same as on the previous order and the delivery address blank Default Location: this brings up a new order form with your defaults as set in your preferences filling in the form Another Location: this brings up an order form with both the origin and destination blank R/T: this is the “Round Trip” option which brings up a new order form with the origin and destination switched. Note that in all of these cases you will still need to get a quote and save the order!

Completing the Order:

Completing the Order If you want to print a bar-code shipping label, select the “Shipping Label” option. This will create a label intended to print on a standard 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of paper which can be folded in half and affixed to the shipment. To the right is a sample label. You will need to use your browser “Print” function to print the label (either file, Print or click the printer icon).

Some Order Entry Shortcuts:

Some Order Entry Shortcuts To use previously saved addresses, click on Delivery Address Lookup. This will bring up your Address Book. To narrow the search for saved addresses enter part of the name of the location and select Search. You can either do this in the Name field on the order entry screen before clicking Lookup, or on the screen below in the name field and clicking Search.

Some Order Entry Shortcuts:

Some Order Entry Shortcuts The EZ Ship feature allows you to place an order to the most common delivery locations with less key-strokes. With this feature you can usually place an order in a matter of seconds. At the bottom of the order entry screen, you will see the following: To save an order as an EZ Ship, check the EZ Ship box and name the EZ Ship in the space to the right. Example below: The next time you want to ship to this location, you will have an option under the EZ Ship feature on the top right of the order entry screen. Note that you can also create EZ-Ships from the Edit Preferences menu on the Shipping Wizard tab. By selecting an EZ Ship option, all delivery information will be automatically filled in. All you have to do next is get a quote and send the order through.

Utilizing the Email Notification Feature:

Utilizing the Email Notification Feature You can select to have notifications sent by email when deliveries are picked up or delivered. An email can be sent to you, the recipient or a third party. To utilize the Email Notification information feature, simply select the box, the type of notification desired, and the email address to send the notification to. Also note that you can “prefill” these addresses by using the Edit Preferences and setting order defaults or EZ Ships.

Courier Management Reports:

Courier Management Reports Select the Reports option. The Reports Screen will appear. This will allow you to run various reports, which may be updated from time to time.

Tracking Packages:

Tracking Packages Tracking packages can be done two different ways: before logging in or after logging in. Anyone can visit the website and track a package without logging in, however the tracking information will not be as detailed as it is if you log in before tracking. To track a package without being logged into system use the Track A Package Field that shows on the main site: http://www.horizonconsole.com The Query will return the following information. Note that there is no sensitive information such as pricing that a competitor could benefit from.

Tracking Packages:

Tracking Packages To track a package after logging in, click on the tracking tab on the left menu. This will bring up the following screen: If you don’t know your order number, you can use the Power Track function and search by date range, reference number, or other criteria. If more than one order matches your request, you will get a list of orders like that to the right. To see more tracking details on any individual order, click the order number link.

Tracking Packages:

Tracking Packages Once you have located the job you are looking for, the following information will be available. As you can see there is much more information than when tracking from the home page prior to logging in.
