How Bush Admin Misled :

How Bush Admin Misled How the Bush Administration Misled the American public about the justification for the Invasion of Iraq

WMD: The red herring :

WMD: The red herring Many people think the Bush Admin. is exonerated because the intelligence community inaccurately believed that Iraq had WMD. However, just because a country may have WMD, does not mean we should invade them.

Pakistan has nuclear WMD :

Pakistan has nuclear WMD Pakistan has nuclear WMD – the most lethal kind of WMD. Pakistan is a Moslem nation. But Bush did not suggest that we invade Pakistan. Why not?

What if? :

What if? But what if Pakistan had WMD, AND if they were involved with 9/11, AND they had a collaborative relationship with Al Qaeda? If so, they would be THREAT.

Exaggerated Threat :

Exaggerated Threat The Bush Admin exaggerated the threat posed by Iraq by linking them with 9/11 and stating that they were working with Al Qaeda. Both of these claims were false, according to the bi-partisan 9/11 commission.

Dishonest or Negligent? :

Dishonest or Negligent? The Bush Administration misled the American public about the threat posed by Saddam Hussein. Were they intentionally telling lies? Our, were they just negligent in their responsibility to make sure that the reasons for going to war were based on hard facts, instead of unchecked assumptions?

Criminals – either way? :

Criminals – either way? If they intentionally misled us, then they lied. They lied about the reasons for war. This would be a criminal act. If they did not adequately check the allegations about Iraq’s involvement with 9/11 and their relationship with Al Qaeda, then they are criminally negligent.

Let’s not get fooled again :

Let’s not get fooled again So, the Bush Administration misled the American public about the threat posed by Iraq, by linking Iraq to 9/11, and asserting that Iraq was collaborating with Al Qaeda. There is no evidence that either of the above is true. ( According to the bi-partisan 9/11 Commission.)

If we knew were told the truth ….. :

If we knew were told the truth ….. If a country has WMD, that alone is not reason to invade them. If Americans were told by the Bush Administration, that Iraq was not involved with 9/11, and that there is no evidence of a collaborative relationship with Al Qaeda, do you think America would have supported an invasion of Iraq?
