By Anna There are many types of animals that can be in the Coastal Plain. Spanish moss is sometimes called an air plant because it can grow high in the tree tops and takes in all the nutrients. The pocket gopher is close to extinction. The Coastal Plain has many kinds of turtles and tortoises one of them is the bog turtle.
