History of Dresses for Women There are many different special occasion dresses that you can wear and most of them are beautiful and have their own history. However, when we speak about dresses we must consider that in the middle Ages women started wearing dresses that were more like a tunic and from those days we can state that it became widely recognized for women to wear those clothes.

History of Dresses for Women:

History of Dresses for Women From the 17th century, it was amazing to see women wear black patches and little stars on their skirts. There were two skirts that women wear. The upper one was for looks and the second one for protection. In the beginning of 19th-century women started wearing light dresses and until the middle of the century they puffed sleeves and wore whalebone with steep wire crinolines under skirts. That was popular during whole century for Victorian women and there were many different inventions such as elastic and safety pin through this particular century.

History of Dresses for Women Revolution occurred in 1925 where women started wearing knee length skirts and there were two currents : Traditional Style – Wanted to keep the Victorian style alive with the idea to wear longer skirts without any inappropriate moments . Modern Style – This current went to a freedom like skirts that eventually became mini-skirts that should make women look feminine.
