Mobile Communications Center : 

Mobile Communications Center ACU-1000 – Can connect up to 24 telephone and radio networks from various sources such as UHF, VHF, Low-band radios, Nextel, Cellular and Land Line Phones. Deployed with 3 members of the Incident Dispatch Team and 1 Amateur Radio Operator.

Mobile Communications Center : 

Mobile Communications Center Has the capability to digitally record two simultaneous video images. Support on scene operations by providing satellite television and broad band internet access.

IDT’s Purpose :

Handle all communications in and out of the command post via radio, landline, cell phone, computer, or other means. When to Deploy the IDT : 

When to Deploy the IDT Intended to assist Incident Commanders faced with large multi-agency events that could last more than 4 hours. A fire response that involves multiple command functions A HAZMAT incident involving a prolonged incident response or involving multiple HAZMAT teams

When to Deploy the IDT An Incident requiring large scale evacuations. A Law Enforcement incident that results in multiple law enforcement agencies or involving multiple Tactical Teams.

Incident Dispatchers Role in Law Enforcement Operations Assigned to Tactical Command Post. Gather and provide intelligence to Commander. Incident Documentation. Deploying the IDT The IDT can be requested by any local, County, or State agency Incident Commander to an incident in Orange County The Communications Vehicle will be fully functional on site within two hours of the initial request.

The Incident Dispatch Team is established for rapid deployment and provides an on scene communications support team, while providing a professional communicator to provide communications and resource management assistance to an incident commander. The team will supply the incident command with accurate and timely documentation of events during unusual or high risk operations. The team coordinates communication among agencies and maintains radio communications during the incident.
