He was carried away in the 2nd deportation in 597 B.C. (2 Kings 24:14-16). Daniel ministered to the kings of Babylon and Persia. Ezekiel ministered to the exiles. Ezekiel's call is found in 2:4-10. God held Ezekiel responsible for the proclamation of His Word and not its reception. d. Ezekiel was of the priestly line (1:3). He may have begun his ministry at the age of 30 (1:1). At this age a priest took up his duties (Num. 4:3). Jesus began His public ministry at the same age (Luke 3:23). Ezekiel was married. His wife died as a sign of the fall of Jerusalem (24:15-19) .When did Ezekiel prophesy?: When did Ezekiel prophesy? Ezekiel's prophecy begins in 592 B.C. (1:2). b.
