Ruth is a love story between Ruth and Naomi.Boaz: A Type of Christ: Boaz: A Type of Christ Kinsman-redeemer – “refers to the nearest male relative of a deceased man who had the right and duty to buy back (i.e. redeem) land which had been sold to another family, thus preventing the alienation of the land and the extinction of the family” 2. Boaz met all three requirements for being a kinsman redeemer, just as Jesus did. a. He was a blood relative. b. He had money to purchase the forfeited inheritance. c. He was willing to redeem the inheritance. ~ Like Boaz, Jesus had the right, power, and will to redeem us. 3. The marriage of Boaz and Ruth pictures the relationship between Christ and the church.
