Who wrote Exodus? The author of Exodus was Moses (Luke 24:44; John 5:46, 47).

Why did God give us the book of Exodus?: 

Why did God give us the book of Exodus? The purpose of Exodus is… To give a history of Israel's redemption from Egypt. To give a history of the theocracy of Israel.

What is the primary message of Exodus?: 

What is the primary message of Exodus? The theme of Exodus is… A. Revelation of God's power and wisdom. B. Revelation of redemption and adoption. ~ According to 19:3-6, God redeemed Israel to be His treasure and a testimony. We have been redeemed for the same reasons (1 Peter 2:9-10).

The Origin - God The Means - The lamb (1 Peter 1:18-20; John 1:29) The Effects a. salvation from death (John 5:24) b. deliverance from bondage (Romans 6:8, 9) c. freedom to go to Canaan (a type of the blessed life or spiritual maturity, not Heaven) The Requirement - The application of the blood. (Knowledge of what should be done wasn’t enough.)
