2D Shapes :

2D Shapes Yasmine and Regina

What is a 2D shape? :

What is a 2D shape? A 2D shape is a shape that only has a length and a height. It is the opposite of a 3D shape. It stands for “2 dimensional” because it only has 2 ways to measure.

Where do you see these shapes? :

Where do you see these shapes? Usually, you see a: Rectangle: A table Triangle : Roof Square: A Chair Circle: Ball

Square :

Square A square has 4 sides, 2 pairs of parallel lines, 4 symmetry lines, 4 vertices and all its sides are the same length.

circle :

circle A circle has 0 parallel lines, infinite lines of symmetry, 1 curved side, and 0 vertices.

Triangle :

Triangle A triangle has 3 sides, 0 parallel lines, 3 lines of symmetry (depending on the type of triangle) and 3 vertices.

Rectangle :

Rectangle A rectangle has 4 sides, 2 sets of parallel lines, 2 symmetry lines and 4 vertices

The Quiz!!!!!!!! :

The Quiz!!!!!!!! How many vertices does a rectangle have? What shape has 3 sides? A rectangle, a square or a triangle? How many side does the circle have? What is a 2D shape?
