Examples : Conglomerate is made up of rounded pebbles cemented together. Conglomerate : Sandstone is sand grains cemented together. Sandstone : Siltstone is made from silt particles cemented together. Siltstone : Shale is made from silt particles cemented together. It is similar to siltstone but with even finer grain size. Shale : Limestone is made primarily of calcium carbonate or calcite. Limestone : Here are some uses of these rocks Uses : It is used in construction and also polished to make ornaments. Conglomerate : It is used in the construction of buildings and monuments. You can use sandstone in concrete and tiles. Sandstone : Siltstone is of very little use other than a contributor to soil. Siltstone can also be used in sculptures and buildings. Siltstone : Shale is used, along with other rock minerals, in themanufacture of brick. Shale : Used as counter tops and flooring.
