WORK PROJECTS www.igipz.pan.pl Road Map of Poland 1:300 000 The map was contracted by Reader's Digest Poland as a major contribution to Europe Road Atlas (also encompassing Map of Europe 1:1 000 000, city plans and text). Similar atlases were prepared by other European branches of Reader's Digest. Almost totally digital process of map preparation was divided into two stages. GIS editing: digitization and cartographic editing in AVISO GIS. Publishing stage: final editing in graphic processing software. Polish Academy of Sciences, Department of Cartography and GIS

GIS Applications : 

GIS Applications GIS Application in Natural Disaster Management Earthquakes and Tsunamis in Honolulu, Hawaii Using the available data and generating a 3D surface model with 3D buildings I simuated flood caused by tsunami and an earthquake and then I determined the shortest evacuation routes to emergency shelters in case of any of these natural disasters.

GIS Project : 

GIS Project In this class project „The Concept of the Michigan Tourist Atlas” I reviewed existing atlases and following the principles of atlas and map design I introduced a concept of a new tourist atlas. The sample map presents Washtenaw County (original scale 1:150 000) ©Malgorzata Krawczyk
