To interact with the objects on your desktop, you use a pointing device
When you point to certain objects, such as the objects on the taskbar, a ScreenTip appears near the object to tell you the purpose or function of the object to which you are pointing

Double-clicking means to click the left mouse button twice in quick succession
Clicking an object with the right button is called right-clicking
