The first house made (for worship) for mankind was at Becca,a blessed place, a guidance for people. Sayyidina Abu Zar Ghifari (RA) said I asked Nabi (P.B.U.H) as to which Masjid was built first on this earth? He replied Masjid Haram (In Makkah)…… : Sayyidina Abu Zar Ghifari (RA) said I asked Nabi (P.B.U.H) as to which Masjid was built first on this earth? He replied Masjid Haram (In Makkah)…… ...Again I asked him, which Masjid was built next? He replied Masjid Aqsa. Then I asked him what was the time difference between the two Masjids? He replied 40 Years, and He further said this is the sequence of the Masjids but Allah Ta'ala has made the whole earth a place of prayer for us. Salah should be prayed wherever one is. (Muslim) Slide 5: Hajj is to do the actions of Hajj as shown by Nabi S.A.W. in and around Makkah during the 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12th of Zul Hijjah. What is Hajj? Slide 6: “Hasten in performing Hajj, for verily one never knows what will befall him.” “For an accepted Hajj, there is no reward besides Jannah.” (Paradise) “One how possesses wealth and has all the means by which he could reach the Scared house of Allah (the ka’bah) and yet does not perform Hajj, he then may either die as Christian or a Jew”. IMPORTANCE AND REWARD OF HAJJ وَلِلّٰهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الۡبَيۡتِ مَنِ اسۡتَطَاعَ اِلَيۡهِ سَبِيۡلًا Pilgrimage to the house of Allah is cumpulsary unto mankind for him who has the means to eat. Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam Slide 7: TYPES OF HAJJ QIRAAN: To perform Umrah first in the month of Hajj, and thereafter to perform Hajj with one ihraam, i.e. one will remain in the Haram of Makkah in the state of Ihraam from the moment of Meeqaat is entered until the ihraam is released on the 10th Zil Hijjah. TAMATTU: To perform Umrah during the months of Haj and release the Ihraam. Thereafter to perform Haj the ssame year without leaving the Meeqaat. IFRAAD: To perform Haj only, during the days of Hajj The one who performs: 1. Qiraat is called a Qaarin 2. Tamattu is called a Matamaatti. 3. Ifraad is called a Munfrid ACCORDING TO THE HANAFI SCHOOL OF THOUGHT, QIRAAN IS CONSIDERED THE BEST. Insisting on climbing Safa & Marwa Mountain 2. Hurling for the women between the green lights 3. Praying 2 Ra’kaat after finishing Sa’ee 4. Continuing Sa’ee while Jam’aa prayer is being held. 5. Al Iddibaah during Al-Sa’ee 6. Thinking that Al-Sa’ee cannot be interrupted 7. Taking off Ihraam clothes directly after finishing Al-Sa’ee without shaving or cutting your hair first Slide 19: UMRAH PROCEDURE (IN BRIEF) - Put on the ihraam before entering the Meeqat (boundry) - Perform two Rak’aats Sunnatul ihraam - Take off the cap then say the Niyyah and Talbiyah - Proceed to Makkah Mukarramah, and route recite and Talbiyah constantly - Perform a tawaaf with Idtibaa and Ramal. - Perform two rakaats Waajib Salaat (after the Tawaaf) behind Maqaame Ibrahim. - Proceed to the Multazam to Make Dua and drink Zam Zam - Perform Sa’ee between Safa and Marwa. - Shave or trim the hair of the head. Slide 20: HAJJ OUTLINE Slide 21: First Day Of Hajj 8th Zul-Hijjah Yaum-ul-Tarwiyah After putting on the Ihraam the Hajees proceed from Makkah to Mina after Fajr Salah Slide 22: 1 day is spent Mina. Perform 5 salahs here; Zohar, Asr, Maghrib, Esha, and Fajr of the next day Slide 23: 2nd Day Of Hajj 9th Zul-Hijjah Yaum-ul-Arafah Slide 24: DAY 2 After sunrise the hajees proceed to Arafaat and make Wuqoof (stay) after Zawaal. Zohar and Asr salaah will be performed here. Here they remain engaged in Du’aa, Zikr, and Tilaawat until sunset Slide 25: DAY 2 - NIGHT Immediately after sunset they proceed to Muzdalifah. Here they will perform Maghrib and Esha at the time of Esha, the night will be spent at Muzdalifah. 49 to 70 pebbles are picked up here to pelt Jamarat next day. Slide 26: 3rd Day Of Hajj 10th Zul-Hijjah Yaum-un-Nahr After performing Fajr Salaah at Muzdalifah, the Hajees proceed to Mina before sunrise. On this day four important rites have to be performed: 1. Ramee of Big Jamarat 2. Zabah 3. Halq or Qasr 4. Go Makkah to do Tawaafuz Ziyaarah * Go back to Mina Slide 27: 1. Ramee of Jamaratul Aqabah 2. Zabah (Sacrifice Animals) Slide 28: 4. To perform Tawaafuz Ziyaarah 3. HALQ/QASR Slide 29: 4th Day 11th Zul-Hijjah All three Shaytaans have to be pelted on this day and the night will be spent at Mina, Ramee, pelting time begins after Zawaal and ends beforesunset. Slide 30: 5th Day 12th Zul-Hijjah Make Ramee, pelt all three Shaytaans after Zawaal. The Hajees may now proceed to Makkah Mu’azzamah. Slide 31: DAY 5 Make Ramee, pelt all three Shaytaans after Zawaal. The Hajees may now proceed to Makkah Mu’azzamah. Those who wish to remain in Mina on the 13th Zul-Hijjah should pelt the 3 Shaytaans before proceeding to Makka Mukarramah the pelting on this day is permissible throughout the day. Graves of Prophet Mohammad (SAW), Abu Bakr Siddique (RA) and Umar Al Farooq (RA) Slide 40: RAWDAH MIMBAR Slide 41: JANAATUL BAQI Slide 42: Masjid - E - Quba Masjid - Al-Qiblatayn This is the very first mosque of Muslim. The Prophet Muhammad and his companions built it with their own hands. According to authentic Hadith “To offer 2 Rakaats of Nafl in this Masjid is equal to one Umrah” In this Masjid, Allah (swt) directed Prophet Muhammad (saw) in the middle of a salaat to turn his face from Islam's first Qibla, "Bait-ul-Muqqadis", (Masjid Alaqs in Jerusalem) to "Ka'ba" in "Masjid al-Haram" in Makka.
