This Electronic Dance Music EDM has got many young people to follow it and love it. It has hit just the right string with them. But let have a look at the past of EDM today. Let’s look at how it grew. The first time it started gaining popularity and its evolution to this year of 2019. Today EDM is a type of music or a genre that is loved by many. It is not to be confused with the disco routine that you would hear in the eighties. Today’s night clubs have a great combination of music with some extra ordinary DJs managing the consoles. Every year in India there is a plethora of events that happen. These music festivals are recurring that happen once in a year and some of them even in smaller size across the country. These EDM shows whenever organized always see a huge demand in ticket as the fan following flows in millions just in India today. These concerts may sometimes be pure EDM or can be a good mix of pop rock techno electric trance pop and so on. EDM came around in the year of 1970 and the decade that followed. Those were the times when ‘the discos’ were very popular. Going for a partying with your mates usually meant going with your friends to the disco to shake a leg with them. In the 70’s the music that was popular was known as the synth pop or disco EDM. It had drums and electronic instruments that created well synthesized beats and rhythms to give a good effect. One of the top EDM songs back then was “I feel love” by Donna Summer in the year 1977. A great combination of both music genres together this song was just apt for people to groove and swing to while dancing on the dance floor as we spoke earlier. After a good stint in the 70’s the popularity chart saw the disco genre go down a little. However EDM was still very popular among the generations and it was only going to rise in popularity worldwide. The drums and the electric synthesizers started to be used in more frequency and this was just as the time when the computers and the internet was growing bigger. In the nineties EDM started to have its own subgenres which are the techno house trance pop hard style dub step. The audiences welcomed these also with open arms. Slowly and steadily the top EDM songs also became popular in the European music industry. The 21st century saw a rise in the popularity of EDM artists like David Guetta Pink Floyd Madonna etc. and these artists are very much relevant today too. India started to enjoy the EDM music largely when the MTV cam to India. Today the scenario is completely different. With the boost of internet that connected all the parts of the world together into one big web listening to songs from other side of the

Just one song is uploaded on the YouTube channel of the artist and you can listen to it as many as times you want. These arts also do worldwide EDM concerts for people to get an opportunity to listen to their favourite music and artist live.
