Adobe Premiere Pro:

Adobe Premiere Pro Adobe Premiere Pro is a video/film editing software. I had had previous experience with Premiere Pro in film studies. I had began the college year with no experience however I picked up how the programme worked quickly through tutorials and also being self taught and learning as I go. My skills have improved greatly with myself trying more experimental with projects. I hope to further improve my skills in up coming projects. Pros Cons Very Powerful Software Can randomly crash or lose files Easy to use once learnt Needs a lot of set to work Can create very professional work Lack of unique effects

Adobe Photoshop Photoshop is a Image/Picture editing tool. I had previous experience with this programme in As media and a small bit from secondary school. I had only a little bit of knowledge when I came up to college however my skills have greatly improved since then. My basic skill developed through the first year and since has greatly improved with my knowledge of the programme being vastly greater. Pros Cons Very Powerful Software Cheaper alternatives available Quick to use for simple projects No Tutorial telling basic info Can create very professional work Can be very slow at times

Adobe InDesign InDesign is a magazine/publication editing software. My first experience of InDesign began in As media with the Magazine course work. Since then my skills have greatly improved with the use of the programme to the point of the experience and knowledge I had gained had helped me in other projects for other subjects. I still hope to improve my skills further in the future Pros Cons Very Powerful Software Can randomly crash or lose files Easy to use once learnt Needs a lot of set to work Can create very professional work

Digital Cameras We used cameras which had uses of both filming and taking photos I had Previous experience with the digital cameras in As media, Film Studies and pre-college. I had filmed with the cameras before and knew how to create the shots and movement I wanted to create. I hope to challenge myself in the future by attempting more challenging shots. Pros Cons Handheld and easy to use Only has a manual zoom Can store loads of data Can randomly go out of focus Adaptable with various equipment Not as good as proper film cameras

YouTube YouTube is a video sharing service and one of the most popular websites on the internet. YouTube is a great way to share videos and films to the public. I had used YouTube for sharing movies before in Film Studies and had recently started my own channel Pros Cons Good for publicity Uploads can take a long time Easy to upload Quality randomly drops Own Editing Software Editor too simple

Blogger Blogger is a Blog/Article sharing website. My first experience with the website was in As Media. I had no previous with the website, however my knowledge of the website has since grown and I am now able to use the website comfortably. Pros Cons A great way to show work Videos can’t be loaded straight in Easy to use Sometimes Crashes Works with other Google websites Can be complicated at times

Microsoft Word Microsoft Word is a Writing Programme included in the Microsoft Office. I had much experience over the years with Microsoft word over the years to which I can use the programme comfortably. I used this programme for writing the script I used for the film. Pros Cons Simple, Anyone can use it Random Crashes Easy to use Can be annoying for bigger projects Can create professional work Costs a lot to install

Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft PowerPoint is a PowerPoint/slide creator included in Microsoft office. I had have much experience over the years to which I can use the website with ease and create something creative and amusing to look at. I used PowerPoint for both this PowerPoint and the pitch PowerPoint. Pros Cons Simple Can randomly crash Easy to use Cost a lot to install Can create very professional slides Can’t be exported straight to web

Google Drive Googles Docs is a office Package similar and compatible to Microsoft Office. Google Slides and Google Docs are very similar to their Microsoft Counterparts. I used these programmes as an alterative due to my Laptop being a Chromebook and not being able to run Microsoft office. Pros Cons Very Powerful Software Can randomly crash or lose files Easy to use once learnt Needs a lot of set to work Can create very professional work

Google/Bing Google and Bing are Both Search Engines used to find websites on the Internet. These are the two I most commonly used for research and for various other information I would need for this project. David Guantlett David Guantlett is a professor of creativity and design at the Westminster school of media and arts. He is also a British sociologist and media theorist. He is Co-director of the communications and M edia research (CAMRI) In 2007, Gauntlet published a article called Media 2.0 . Media 2.0 In this article he argues that the traditional form of media studies doesn't take in changing landscapes. He talks about how the categories of producer and audience have since combined together thanks to the new technology. He argues that due to new technology , new research methods are needed Audiences can now be their own producers thanks to websites such as YouTube, making them more active than passive Making is connecting
