SiMERR (Science, ICT, andamp; Mathematics Education for Rural and Regional Australia) SiMERR SA…the SA hub of SiMERR SiMERR SA is a consortium of Australian Science andamp; Mathematics School UniSA Flinders University

SEED Project: 

SEED Project SEED aims to provide students in regional and rural South Australia with access to resources designed to enrich their science, ICT and mathematics learning, promote ongoing engagement in the subject and encourage the retention of students in these courses into the senior years of schooling

The Program MODELS OF OPERATION Units of work provided by partners could be presented and accessed in one, or a combination of, the following: One-off, focus ‘event’ Thematic threads Sporadic Access

The Program The mentor teacher will decide the mode of school based operations. For example: Integrate into the curriculum (SACSA implications) Special extension program Part of a 'Students with Gifts and Talents' program Etc.

ASISTM Expression of Interest due by 31 March, for pilot project 2007 SiMERR SA needs pretty quick indications of whether you’re in or not. no need to develop program details until later any thoughts for the EOI greatly appreciated Regardless of the ASISTM bid SiMERR has SEED as a project and will continue to work with interested parties to further develop the ideas over the next few months
