How do we advertise Christianity on TV? Commissioned research …The ads: The ads Christianity is widely rejected by most non-Christians as an anachronistic and undesirably rigid set of doctrines‚ while the Church is widely regarded as an old-fashioned organisation that is guilty of failing to live up to its own ideals of tolerance‚ forgiveness and humility. The ads: The ads Focus groups used to find a point of engagement with the audience Jesus is cool … Maybe Jesus does have something to say?Our audience: Emerging Young adults: Leading busy, active lives They may not be making conscious decisions about their values One defining characteristic of this generation is a belief in the awesome power of friends and the security of the herd Rising interest in the concept of spirituality and a search for meaning and purpose in their lives.
