RESPIRATION IN ORGANISMS:

RESPIRATION IN ORGANISMS Welcome to the lesson Chapter no….10 Click here to go further….

Respiration in Organisms:

Respiration in Organisms S omething to discuss Click here to go further….

PowerPoint Presentation:

Why Do We Respire? Do you Know friend why do we respire? How? And what kinds of Respiration there are? If you want to Know watch this Power Point (Presentation)Text! NOW lets proceed more further. Click here to go further….

PowerPoint Presentation:

Glucose with the use of oxygen Carbon dioxide + Water + Energy Aerobic Respiration Glucose without the use of oxygen Alcohol + Carbon dioxide + Energy Anaerobic Respiration Glucose in absence of oxygen (in muscles) Lactic acid + Energy Cramp(s)

PowerPoint Presentation:

These are the 3 types of Respiration Kinds my friends!!!!!! As follows:- Aerobic Respiration Anaerobic Respiration Cellular Respiration Aerobic Respiration: Wow a very good thing to Know and show you In the cell, the food (Glucose) is broken down into carbon dioxide and water using oxygen. When Breakdown of glucose occurs with the use of oxygen than it is said to be Aerobic Respiration and the users are known as Aerobes Click here to go further….

PowerPoint Presentation:

Anaerobic Respiration: Food Can also be Broken down, without the use of The oxygen. And this type of Respiration is Known as Anaerobic Respiration. And the organisms using this type Of respiration they are called to be Anaerobes. Glucose without the use of oxygen Alcohol + Carbon dioxide + Energy Click here to go further…. Did You Know Breathing is only Depended on Inhaling & Exhaling

PowerPoint Presentation:

Cellular Respiration: The process of breakdown of food in the cells with the Release of energy is called the cellular Respiration. This process is done in the cells Breath Rate The Number of times a person Breaths in a minute it is termed As the Breath Rate. During Breathing inhalation and exhalation Takes place alternately. A breath Means 1 inhalation + 1 exhalation Click here to go further….

Breathing System:

PowerPoint Presentation:

Smoking damages lungs. Smoking is also linked to cancer. It must be avoided!!! TAKE CARE: When you sneeze, you should cover your nose so that the foreign particles you expel are not inhaled by others!!! NOTE

PowerPoint Presentation:

LUNGS Exhaled Air 16.4% oxygen Inhaled Air 21% oxygen 0.04% Carbon dioxide 4.4% Carbon dioxide The percentage of oxygen and carbon dioxide in inhaled and exhaled air. Click here to go further….

PowerPoint Presentation:

How Do We Breath? Normally we take in air through our nostrils. When we Inhale air, it Passes trough our nostrils into the Nasal Cavity. From the Nasal cavity the air reaches our Lungs through the Windpipe. lungs are present in the chest cavity. breathing involves the movement of diaphragm and the rib cage. During inhalation, ribs move up and outwards and diaphragm moves down. This movement increases space in our chest cavity and air rushes in the lungs. the lungs get filled with air. During exhalation, ribs move down and inward and the diaphragm moves up to its former position. This reduces the size of the chest cavity and air is pushed out of the lungs………..!!!! PowerPoint Presentation:

Tracheae Click the insect to go forward!!!

PowerPoint Presentation:

Respiration of Insects A insect has a small opening on their side called spiracles. Insects have a network of air tube called tracheae for exchange of Gasses, Oxygen rich air rushes through spiracles into tracheal tubes, diffuses into the body. Similarly, carbon dioxide from the cells goes into the tracheal tubes and moves out through spiracles. These air tubes are found in any other group of animals. Some insects breath through their skin so their skin feels moist and slimy to touch it !!! EEEWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

PowerPoint Presentation:

Do plants also Respire ? Yes, they also take in oxygen from the air and give out carbon dioxide. In the cells oxygen is used to break down glucose into carbon dioxide and water as in other organisms. In plants each part can independently free to take oxygen from the air and give out Carbon dioxide. The leaves of the plant have tiny pores called stomata for exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide. The root cells also need oxygen to generate energy. Roots take up air from the air spaces present between the soil particles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For Example ….
