Benefits of Refereeing: Refereeing allows you to stay involved with rugby without the tackling. You, as a referee, get to be involved in the greatest game in the world knowing you have created an equitable and safe match environment. Refereeing allows you to travel to all corners of Texas as a local referee and be involved in referee exchanges throughout the United States and the world. Refereeing gives you an incentive to stay fit and healthy and study the laws of the game you love. Join today, start today, referee today!!! Society of Texas Rugby Referees (STRR) Recruiting

The STRR is 30 full-time and 5 part-time referees living in Houston, DFW, Austin, San Antonio, and everywhere in between. We are comprised of 1 A-panel referee (national level), 5 B-panel (territorial), 2 P-panel (would like to retire), and C-panel (local) referees The STRR is 4 referee/coach evaluators and 35 referee supporters. We are accountants and lawyers, PhDs, and carpenters, stock brokers and business owners, computer programmers and salesman, government employees and construction engineers. We are short and tall, fat and skinny, young and old, married and single, from the US and from abroad. The point being there is no typical referee. Our common ground is a love for rugby and the camaraderie the game engenders. Society of Texas Rugby Referees (STRR) Recruiting
