Fast Accurate Economical Click on arrows located below to advance to next slideSlide3: RotoCope is a patent-pending industrial-strength COPING TOOL designed for high-volume coping of hollow and solid materials, including: Hollow Structural Steel Schedule 40 Pipe Stainless Steel Aluminum Plastics and Composites Hydraulic Tubing Generally, in LESS THAN ONE MINUTE, RotoCope produces an accurate fit, accommodating attractive welds. What is RotoCope?Slide4: 1. Secure the work piece in a suitable pipe vise, with minimal overhang. 2. Insert the RotoCope Tool in an industrial milling machine. 3. Operate the mill at an rpm and feed-rate that conform to the guidelines provided by the RotoCope manufacturer. EASY AS 1 - 2 - 3Slide5: THE TOOL BODY Patent-pending design 4140 steel body Tolerances: shank: + 0.0 or - 0.0005 concentricity: within 0.002 TEETH Patent-pending design Best quality carbide Yield more than 400 cuts Can be re-sharpened CURRENT SIZES AVAILABLE ODs: 1.25” through 3.5”Slide6: A Finished Cope FAST, PRECISE, LOW-COST, VERSATILE, WELD-EASY! Slide7: Equipment Required Any industrial mill with power-controlled feed capability is acceptable. However, a vertical mill with a swiveling head and self-centering vice offers flexible, fast and accurate machining of various diameters and angles. A sturdy 3-jaw pipe vise is recommended. Slide8: Compare RotoCope to other coping methods:Slide9: Not true for some other coping methods: RotoCope is operator friendly: Detailed Operating Information: Detailed Operating Information The following three charts provide set-up instructions that a machinist will reference in the operation of the RotoCope tool. These instructions are included with the packaging of each RotoCope tool sold. RotoCope Tool Set-Up (1 of 3): RotoCope Tool Set-Up (1 of 3) Maintain an intermittent cut: No more than 25% of the teeth should be in the work piece at any time. Maximum feed rates per tooth (hollow tubing): Mild Steel .001 Stainless .0005 (1/2 the rate for mild steel) Solids: Use lower rpm & feed rates. If the mill is equipped with a quill: The quill should be in a retracted position to ensure rigidity. Always use a coolant Do not feed by hand: A power feed is recommended, but a micro-feed hand wheel can be used.RotoCope Tool Set-Up (2 of 3): RotoCope Tool Set-Up (2 of 3) MILD STEELRotoCope Tool Set-Up (3 of 3): RotoCope Tool Set-Up (3 of 3) STAINLESS STEELSlide14: Thank You For Considering RotoCope Slide15: Press the “END” button to return to RotoCope’s home page.
