Detailed Operating Information:

Detailed Operating Information The following three charts provide set-up instructions that a machinist will reference in the operation of the RotoCope tool. These instructions are included with the packaging of each RotoCope tool sold.

RotoCope Tool Set-Up (1 of 3):

RotoCope Tool Set-Up (1 of 3) Maintain an intermittent cut: No more than 25% of the teeth should be in the work piece at any time. Maximum feed rates per tooth (hollow tubing): Mild Steel .001 Stainless .0005 (1/2 the rate for mild steel) Solids: Use lower rpm & feed rates. If the mill is equipped with a quill: The quill should be in a retracted position to ensure rigidity. Always use a coolant Do not feed by hand: A power feed is recommended, but a micro-feed hand wheel can be used.
