IST NOBEL - “Next generation Optical network for Broadband European Leadership” : What is the NOBEL main goal ? To carry out analysis, feasibility studies and experimental activities on innovative solutions and technologies for intelligent IP/optical networks Why this goal ? There is the need to solve core and metro networking bottlenecks such as: architectures for interworking and interoperability, solutions for provisioning differentiated QoS/QoP services, efficient management & control, multi-layer resilience and resource optimization, flexible provisioning of new and advanced network services… IST NOBEL - “Next generation Optical network for Broadband European Leadership”
