When do I receive my class schedule?: 

When do I receive my class schedule? Your class schedule will be mailed out to you in the summer. When do I receive my locker number? Your locker number will be sent to your home in the summer and posted on the door of the Library. A combination lock MUST be purchased from the SFC Bookstore (in the Library) and MUST be placed on the locker. Locks are $5.00.

Where do I purchase books? After you have received your class schedule in the summer, you may order your books at: www.varsitybooks.com For the school year 2005-2006, the books will not be posted until after July 18.

What is the dress code requirement?: 

What is the dress code requirement? The Dress Code requirements are stated in our Student Handbook. The entire student handbook is online at www.sfcs.net You may purchase clothes from the stores listed in the handbook, i.e., JC Penney, Sue Mills, Dickies, and others. On Fridays, students may wear jeans if they wear their class T-shirt. The Scholastic Collection is a collection of clothes made especially for SFC (with SFC insignia). Order forms and catalogs are available in the SFC main office. A portion of the money from these clothes will go to Santa Fe Christian.

Where do I purchase P.E. clothes?: 

Where do I purchase P.E. clothes? P.E. clothes may be purchased from the SFC Bookstore (in the Library) for $30.00 at the beginning of school. What about a P.E. lock and locker? A lock and locker will be handed out by the P.E. teachers at the beginning of school.

What Sports are available?: 

What Sports are available? Fall Sports – Football, Cross-Country, Ladies’ Volleyball, Ladies’ Water Polo, Ladies’ Tennis, Cheer. Winter Sports – Basketball, Soccer, Wrestling, Ladies’ Water Polo, Cheer Spring Sports – Baseball, Ladies’ Softball, Men’s Volleyball, Golf, Men's Tennis, Track and Field, Swim, Lacrosse Upper School Sports can be viewed on the SFC website.

Is there a Lunch Program at SFC?: 

Is there a Lunch Program at SFC? Hot Lunches are available to students through the Tropical Nights Catering Service. Items may be purchased daily or prepaid. Additional items, such as salads, chili, smoothies, fruit, chips, and drinks are always available for purchase. Snacks such as bagels, muffins, and drinks are available at the morning break. You may sign up for prepaid lunches for a 3-month period of time. Those forms, along with the menu, are in the Attendance Office. The Debit Account Card is also available for $100. These cards may be bought at the lunch line or you may send in $100. As purchases are made, amounts will be deducted from the card. If you have further questions, please contact Tropical Nights Catering at: (858) 792-8839. Upper School lunch is 11:35-12:05.

How often is Chapel?: 

How often is Chapel? Chapel is once a week on Wednesdays from 9:10-10:05! It includes Engaging Speakers and Music! Randy Wright is our Chapel Coordinator! Dave Nieman coordinates technical activities and the Worship Band! One of our highlights is Spiritual Emphasis Week that includes special speakers and music.

If I am absent from school, how will I get my homework?: 

If I am absent from school, how will I get my homework? The Digital Back Pack is SFC’s way of helping students who are absent. To access Digital Back Pack go to: www.sfcs.net, click on the Teachers button, then click on Digital Back Pack and you will see a list of teachers. Click on your teacher’s last name and you will be able to access the assignments for the entire week.

How do parents find out about events happening at SFC?: 

How do parents find out about events happening at SFC? The Upper School sends home 'The Wingspan' which is a monthly publication available on the website. E-mails are also sent to the home occasionally for special announcements. Please make sure we have your updated e-mail address.

How do I communicate with Teachers? Please contact your child’s teacher in the event of a problem, concern, question, suggestion, etc.! Email is the best method of communication! A phone call is the next best method! Feel free to write a note to a teacher in your child’s planner or on any test or assignment!

When Will Parents Learn of Their Child’s Academic Performance? Next year, it is the school’s goal to allow parents to access their child’s academic performance in all classes via the internet! Currently, teachers send home unofficial progress reports at the midterm of each term. Every 6 weeks, grades are sent home to the parents in the mail! At the semester, parents are mailed the official grade report of their student.
