An Ohio disco jockey named Alan Freed first started He started it by sending rhythm over the radio Some people say its combination of jazz In 1937 two people named Chick Webb and Ellen Fitzgerald wrote the first song of rock and roll A guy named “Big toe” Joe made the first rock and roll record which is very close to 50’s music After that record was made then many other people started to make Records How did it get so popular? : How did it get so popular?
