The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit:

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit How does the work of God in Jesus Christ apply to me? Biblically, God the Holy Spirit works to incorporate us into the work of Jesus. God’s being God-for-us in Jesus includes our incorporation into the new life in Jesus. God’s faithfulness to us leads us to speak of our life in Him.

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit:

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit The Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ Three modes for speaking of the Holy Spirit: the Trinity, Christology, and the Christian life and Church. A. The Spirit’s Role in Jesus’ Life Jesus’ is a life endowed with the Spirit. A twofold aspect: we cannot understand Jesus’ work apart from the Spirit and vice versa.

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit:

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit The Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ C. The Spirit Honors Jesus Christ Scripturally, the Spirit does not call attention to Himself but to Jesus The Spirit honors Jesus because God is glorified in redeeming us. Shyness of deference by the Spirit: focuses on God’s action in Jesus Christ.

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit:

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit The Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ C. The Spirit Honors Jesus Christ Should not separate the Pneumatology and Christology because: (1) Cannot divorce justification and sanctifi-cation; (2) Other spirits honor themselves, but when we have the Holy Spirit we witness to Jesus.

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit:

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit The Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ C.
