Region III Finance Chair: Region III Finance Chair Objectives Serve as an advisor and liaison to regional counterparts for chapter finance chairs Goals Provide guidelines/templates for chapter finance chairs Maintain communication with chapter finance chairs via internet communications, monthly report assessments, and regional/chapter meetings Establish shadowing opportunities for prospective regional finance chairs Chapter Finance Chairs: Chapter Finance Chairs Objective Ensure long-term and short-term financial vitality of NSBE [insert chapter name] Possible Goals Diversify chapter income/sponsorship Reclaim previous partnerships Increase exposure to all chapter sponsorship packets Establish partnership with organization that are complimentary to chapter mission Solicitation Packet: Solicitation Packet Highlight chapter as a unique organization Mission Statement History Membership Focus on programs – new national direction Allow easy access to its contents and chapter contacts Follow-up after each solicitation Collegiate Funds Request Forms: Collegiate Funds Request Forms Highlight amount needed and how it will be used Write in terms of chapter priorities Cater to goal of viewer Be concise – avoid feelings and adjectives National Program Funds (NPF): National Program Funds (NPF) Funds request process designed to encourage chapter programs – under used Proposed program must be implemented and completed in the NSBE fiscal year, August 1st to July 31st. Submitted to the review committee NO LATER THAN 45 days following the start of the program or September 15th, which ever comes first.
