What is Inbound Marketing Inbound Marketing is a technique to pull potential prospects into the buying cycle of products and services. The aforementioned is achieved by the good practice of Content Marketing Social Marketing Search Engine Optimization and Branding. Hubspot defines Inbound Marketing as: “Inbound marketing is about creating valuable experiences that have a positive impact on people and your business. How do you do that You attract prospects and customers to your website and blog through relevant and helpful content. Once they arrive you engage with them using conversational tools like email and chat and by promising continued value. And finally you delight them by continuing to act as an empathetic advisor and expert.” Inbound Marketing is quite different from traditional or outbound marketing and does not interrupts the target audience in anyway. While the traditional marketing was all about broadcasting ads circulating flyers and putting up giant billboards to draw attention of the masses Inbound Marketing relies heavily on offering valuable information to the audience and so creating a need of a particular product or service. Inbound Marketing addresses the pain point of customers by offering information that can relate to the said pain point and then offers a solution. This does not involve spamming or interrupting people. With the help of valuable content and targeted marketing Inbound only involves in reaching out to a specific audience without the intent to sell rather offer a rational solution to the problem they are already facing. Why Inbound Marketing is needed Since the inception of internet more and more people are opting for digital channels to make purchases. Statistia suggests that there are more than 3.5 billion people using internet everyday. Such numbers attracts marketers to put their efforts on the digital space rather than physical. Because of traditional marketing being interrupting and frustrating Inbound Marketing has proven to be a more successful format of attracting buyers for a product or service because of its intent to educate a potential buyer.

So instead of just bombarding ads after ads to random people Inbound Marketing cleverly targets the people who are already searching information related to one’s business. This narrows down the target audience but also helps in increasing the conversion rate. Offering valuable information builds a rapport with a potential buyer and makes the business more credible and so increases the conversion chances.
