The Lion of Judah: 

The Lion of Judah The Lion of Judah represents strength and Haile Selassie, the conqueror. The lion is the king of all beasts as Haile Selassie is thought of as the King of Kings. It is also said to represent the male majority of the movement.

Dreadlocks: 

Dreadlocks Dreadlocks symbolize the Rastas roots in Africa and the Bible. It is based on the Rastas reading of the Nazirite Vow in the Bible (Num. 6:2-5). The way the hair grows also represents The Lion of Judah.

Rasta Colors: 

Rasta Colors The color red stands for the Church of Triumphant, which is the church of the Rastas. Red also symbolizes the blood that martyrs have shed throughout the history of the Rastas and the black struggle for liberation. The color green represents the beauty and vegetation of Ethiopia, the promised land. The color yellow represents the wealth of Ethiopia. Some flags include the black in the Jamaican flag, which represents the dominant race.
