No Lion… We Appreciate You! $35 Contribution Recipients receive the basic sponsorship package. $150 Contribution Recipients receive a one day family pass for four to the zoo, lion magnet, a plush lion, plus the basic package. $75 Contribution Recipients receive two admission tickets to the zoo, lion magnet, and a plush lion, plus the basic package. $250 Contribution Recipients receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the lion exhibit**, a one-day family pass for four to the zoo, lion magnet, a plush lion, plus the basic package. Lions will once again be roaring in Akron. We have two new, young lions, a male and a female, both just over one year old. Once the lions reach the age of 3-4 years old, they will be able to breed. When the zoo’s lion exhibit opened in 1998 it was built complete with a cubbing area for future reproduction of this species. Your support will help your Zoo conserve the lions and many other species of animals. When you donate a minimum of $35 you can share the care of your special critter and receive a basic sponsorship package. This package includes a sponsorship certificate, fact sheet, a photo of a lion and your name on the Akron Zoo’s website. ** All behind-the-scenes tours must be scheduled with the development department at 330-375-2550 ext. 7231 three weeks prior to visit.
