The ocean water becomes salty because rivers and other water bodies , while passing over the earth’s surface , carry away various salts with them an they deposit the same in the oceans.

Fresh water Fresh water is very precious but it is very limited In quantity . So it must be preserved and conserved at all costs. With the rise of population we cannot increase the quantity of water to meet the needs of out growing population. But we can control the way the water is used . We should see that the water is not polluted in any way. Huge amount of water used by cities and our industries returns to rivers or oceans as waste water which has a high pollution. Such a thing is suicidal , which must be checked at the earliest
