It is an extremely deep canyon littered with buttes, mesas, and valleys. The Grand Canyon runs 277 miles long and has the beautiful Colorado River flowing through the bottom. I was amazed by all the beautiful colors contained within the canyon. I even enjoyed a mule ride down a path to the bottom of the Canyon. This ride took about 4 hours. Boy was I sore! I really enjoyed my trip to the Grand Canyon. Wish you were here. See you soon, Mrs. Widmann October 16, 2006 Mrs. Widmann’s class 17207 94th Ave Ct E Puyallup, WA 98375 United StatesSlide10: October 8, 2005 Dear Class, This week I visited Washington, D.C. – the capitol city of the United States. My first stop was the U.S. capitol building which is the home of the legislative branch of the US government. After lunch I went to the Library of Congress which is the world’s largest library with 26 million books, films, documents, and photographs. On my way back to the hotel, I went by the Jefferson Memorial. It is a 19-foot bronze statue of the third president of the United States. I also went through the National Mall. This isn’t a shopping mall. It’s the home of many very important memorials including the Korean Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, WW II Memorial and the Washington Monument. What an amazing journey! I’ll see you all soon, Mrs. Widmann Mrs. Widmann’s class 17207 94th Ave Ct E Puyallup, WA 98375 United States Slide11: Brouillet Elementary Ms. Lee’s Class 17207 94th Ave. E. Puyallup WA. 98375 July 4th, 2007 Dear Ms. Lee and class, Today I visited Walt Disney World Resort (the happiest place on the earth)! There are four magical theme parks there: Epcot, MGM Studio, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom. First stop was MGM Studio. You wouldn’t believe the Back to the Future ride. The ride makes you feel as though you are flying through mountains and valleys at high, break-neck speed, actually you are not moving at all. Wow, this is definitely my favorite. What a trip! Next, Magic Kingdom where I toured Snow White’s Scary Adventures. This is an animated tale of Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” I might have enjoyed it more had I been younger! Next stop, Epcot. I spent a lot of time at the Mission: SPACE attraction where you lift off into the galaxy. It’s an experience that is unrivaled in this galaxy. Finally, after a full day of fun, my last stop will be the Animal Kingdom. My favorite was “The Tree of Life” whose breathtaking artistry is of a magnificently sculpted tree with animal carving that wordlessly express nature’s intricate balance.
