Registration for Child Art Day Children are invited to participate who are in grades 1-6 They have a selection of six different workshops to choose from all based upon renowned artists Workshops are taught by students who are prospective teachers taking the CSUB course Art 401

“Cheeseburger in Paradise” Featured presentation of Claes Oldenburg’s Food Factory Series Student Teachers presented McDonald’s cheeseburgers as motivation Children made cheeseburgers out of modeling clay and acrylic paint

I’m Just Wild About Henri Featured presentation of Henri Matisse’s famous cut-out series Student Teachers presented a Power Point Presentation of Matisse’s cut-outs which he relied on memories of his travels Children made cut out pictures symbolizing a trip in Matisse’s style

We Are Fans of Monet Featured Presentation about Monet’s “La Japonaise” Student teachers presented many of Monet’s works with flowers Children made accordion fans similar to the one depicted in a Monet painting
