Slide 15:

In 1998 (The latest huge Sudan famine) in Southwestern Sudan over 70,000 people died in Sudan. Almost half of that 70,000 were infants. The government was not giving them rights, they were having a terrible drought, and everyone failed to help them with food. They were having the Darfur War too so they weren’t focused on food. Their rights were taken away during this war so they were allowed almost no food. They is still a famine crisis everyday in Sudan though. It is so easy to forget how good you have it. Be thankful for what you do have, and help others when they need it. We are one world united.
